"Lifted From the Pit" — Psalm 40:1–3
The pit was real.
The waiting was real. The silence was real. The night that would not break no matter how long you prayed — real.
And so was the hand that came down.
Not after you climbed out. Not after you earned it. Into the darkness — while you were still in the mud — the hand came. And it lifted what you could not lift on your own.
Joseph went into a pit and came out positioned to save nations. What his brothers meant for destruction God used for destiny.
This is that kind of song. Only the rescued can sing it.
