Light Pruning Still Allowed When Nectarines are Still Flowering

Six different varieties of nectarine are growing at the Ahern Orchard in Las Vegas with flowers starting in mid to late February. Light pruning with a hand pruner is still permitted to remove potential fruit if pruning for production was not finished during the winter. In fact it is easier now that you can see the flowers and where the fruit will be grown.
