Light Years

It’s like I’m on another Planet So far away from you Every day is like a decade And I feel it through and through And when I try to bridge this distance I always lose that fight I could use someone’s assistance You know a rocket would be nice And all of my plans To conquer the physics of this plight Just slip through my hands Even though I try with all my might And the oceans that lie between Feel more like galaxies Tell me why does it seem Like you’re light years away... There are things in this life I just don’t understand Is this part of the plan?
