The lightweight dynamic deflectometer is used to carry out bearing capacity tests on embankments, platforms, earthworks, roadways, excavation bottoms, etc.
The advantage of this portable equipment is its small size, which also allows bearing capacity tests to be carried out in places that are usually inaccessible to static plates (need for a truck as a reaction mass).
The execution of the test is simple and fast: you just have to drop the mass on the plate and to recover it at the rebound. 3 impacts are required for the pre-loading and 3 more for the test. The test is easily reproducible.
At each impact, the deflection under the plate is measured by a sensor. The box will determine the dynamic deformation modulus EVd
From the EVd, a calculation is made to obtain the EV2 or the CBR (in %). This data processing is possible in the associated Websprint© online application.
