one year without you Ever since he left, I’ve had the weirdest, awful dream. Multiple times. I can only describe it as almost like a vision of his last waking moments— and I could feel everything. I’d wake up somewhere unrecognizable, yet strangely familiar. Amidst a quiet, dim room, my exhausted body rested, weary and still. My glowing iris’ fill with deep emotions, unbeknownst even to me, they trace the outline of the sky waiting to welcome me. They guide my hand to where my fingertips can lace between the loops. I climb up and away from the world - but with one falter, my mind is sent stumbling back down to where my body lay still amongst the night’s quiet mumbling and season’s silent sway, as my ghost is left to repose. Then, I’d wake up. and just like that, you were gone. i blinked, and suddenly it’s been a whole year without you. and although everyone can curse at you and swear upon your malice, i hope you’re finally at peace, wherever you are. rest easy, Muudea.
