Limits in Software Performance Analysis shows the set of boundary thresholds and constraints that defines a software system’s operational capabilities. It determines the maximum workload, traffic or resource consumption the system can handle before the performance becomes unstable and fails to function.
Just like how we can only take so much before feeling overwhelmed, too much exam pressure or endless messages in group chats can make us stressed and unable to function well.
When a system goes beyond its own limits, it acts just like us when we are overloaded. It will start to slow down, lag or even stop working properly until the pressure eases off, similar on how we also struggle to perform well when pushed past what we can handle.
