It shows that how well the Voltage Regulator or Power Supply is able to maintain constant output voltage despite the change in the line voltage or load current.* *What is Line Regulation:* _The Line Regulation defines the ability of the Power Supply or Voltage Regulator to maintain the constant output voltage despite the change in the line voltage / input voltage._ Line Regulation = ΔVo/ΔVi It is typically represented in mV/V, %/V and %. Line Regulation (in %/V) =( ΔVo / Vnominal)x 100 / ΔVi For voltage regulators and LDO (Low Dropout Voltage Regulator) the line regulation is represented in %/V or mV/V. *What is Load Regulation:* _The Load Regulation defines the ability of the Power Supply or Voltage Regulator to maintain the constant output voltage despite the change in the load current._ Load Regulation(in %) = (Vno-load - Vfull-load) x 100 / Vfull-load The load regulation is typically defined in percentage. But many times for LDOs and voltage regulators it is also defined in mV/mA. When it is represented in mV/mA, it also represents the dynamic output resistance of the voltage regulator.
