In the early parts of your geometry course you will begin talking about postulates. These are statements that are just accepted and do not have to be proven. In this video I go over the Segment Addition Postulate which states if B is between A and C on a line segment, then AB+BC=AC. I give two examples of this being worked out.
The first example I am using constants to explain the postulate.
Then I show how algebra is used to work out a problem with unknowns (variables) in expressions.
