Hi everyone, in this video we introduce the idea of approximating a function using a Taylor Series expansion. We show the general method of applying the expansion to a non linear function and then demonstrate how each term in the series contribute to the approximation. We see that with only a few terms we can approximate a higher order function around a local point. Always be sure to remember that the approximation is typically only valid near the local point.
