Liquid Charcoal - using it for the first time

I bought a pot of Liquid Charcoal by Wallace Seymour and thought I'd try using it for the first time in the studio before using it for plein air sketching and painting. I chose a black and white photo of Loe Beach in Cornwall as the subject for my first effort. This area, along the Fal River, will be a large part of my work over the next 6 months as I prepare for a major solo exhibition. The liquid charcoal was great fun! I found using it in this way very interesting although heavier weight paper would have been better as you will see!
