Liquid Line Solenoid Valves are commonly installed on evaporator unit coolers. Their purpose is to facilitate the system's pump down process. As a normally closed valve, it remains closed when the coil is de-energized. During refrigeration, the coil is energized, opening the valve and enabling mass flow through the unit cooler.
