I believe all three of us learned this tune from a 78 RPM recording by the Crockett Family band. They recorded several nice arrangements of old time tunes. As I understand it, they did come out to Hollywood for work, so (since we all live within spitting distance of the place) it seemed appropriate for us to work out our own version. Performing music with Tom and Richard is always fun. Richard - fiddle, Tom - guitar, Peter - mandolin. All three of us have crossed musical boundary's many times, and have fun exploring the edges of musical style.
