I find I will put something in its home and within hours it's taken out...do I focus more on having them clean up or do I declutter more? 07.12: I need some helpful phrases I can whip out to say to my Mother-in-law. She comes into my house after a trip to the charity shop laden with gifts. I hate receiving clutter and don't want to be rude. 10.53: I've been taking things where I'd look for them in a deep cupboard...but now there is a layer a foot deep at the front of stuff in the right place but there's still more that belongs in there...help! 16.52: How do I remember the empty spaces exist or stop resisting getting rid of stuff that my family really do need? 21.35: Military family. We move every 2-3 years... would it be better to have all boxes put in one spot...set up each rooms larger furniture and then unpack boxes one by one vs. placing boxes in each room? 24.52: What do you do with the trash bag and donations box when you inevitably get distracted during decluttering? Do you put somewhere that you can pick it up again later leave it where it is? 29.13. I don't drive, so rely on my husband to get rid of donations, my hallway is currently full of donation boxes, it's infuriating because I feel like I have to come to a standstill with my decluttering. 29.52: What is the best strategy if you live with someone who won't pick up after themself and it really doesn't bother them? 32.34: ​​Do you have any tips on how to force or trick yourself to get motivated to clean and declutter? I had people come to remove a garage full of someone else's stuff, BUT, now I'm faced with a wall of parent's stored old suitcases and trunks full. I walk out there and freeze. help 46.45: What is the difference between your books? Do they focus on different things? I've read one and absolutely loved it. How do you mentally deal with the disaster that always happens when you come home from traveling? Or do you somehow not have a disaster when you come home? 52.26: I'm having a hard time getting rid of clothes. I'm not necessarily attached to them but I can't just bring myself to donate them. I have over 100 tops that haven't been used since covid 2020. They aren't even great quality but still I don't know what it is that I can't bring myself to donate them. I'm almost an empty nester so I know I won't ever use them again. I need to simplify my wardrobe. I only wear the same 5 shirts. 55.35: I'm getting more ruthless on decluttering but have a whole tub of mostly new Tupperware stuff and struggling with the thoughts of just giving it away... just let it go right?
