Lo-fi Granulator demo with modular synth
This is a lo-fi granular synth that I recently built at a workshop facilitated by the Regional Electronic Music Australia Project, with a creative, technical and research team drawn from RMIT and Griffith University. 0:09 - Basic demo with first sample 0:34 - Loading the next sample 1:02 - Bring the modular synth into the mix 1:22 - A note on the granulator’s reverb and delay 1:56 - Randomising sample settings The design and software is all open source and can be found at the developers GitHub repository: https://github.com/algomusic/lofi-granulator You can read more about the project here: https://www.regionalelectronicmusicaustralia.com/ In this video demo I demonstrate its features and incorporate it with a modular synth, which includes a Doepfer Wasp Filter, 4MS Dual Delay and a Make Noise Morphagene. During the demo you’ll hear a field recording being manipulated by the Morpagene, which is a high quality granular synthesis module.
