In today’s video, we take a 200kW rental unit that’s been sitting for a while and put it through its paces. Before firing it up, we perform a quick pre-start inspection, checking the oil levels and fuel filters [00:21].
This unit is a 6.7L diesel set to 600V mode. It had a bit of a stubborn start due to the cold, but with a little help, we got it up and running [05:19]. We walk through the process of connecting the load bank, monitoring the oil pressure, and watching the coolant temperatures as we ramp up the load to clear out some "wet stacking" in the exhaust [08:32].
