The maiden flight of my Dollar Tree Foam Board Lockheed Vega. I did two things wrong - 1) Decorated it BEFORE it flew for the first time 2) Flew it in iffy conditions. But I dodged the bullet on both of them. There was almost no wind when I went out this morning to warm up with my FT Scout. By the time I had the Vega ready it was 12 gusting to ? but I was there and it wasn't going to get better for the rest of the week. As you can see I was just happy to get it on the ground - missed a tree, power pole and was missed by a phone company truck! The 3D printed landing gear survived which I really didn't expect. Won't do that again (famous last words).
