After finishing my first original symphony orchestra composition, The Hollow Crown, I knew that I wanted to make another original piece for the orchestra before I graduated from UCCS. Upon receiving the opportunity to commission a piece through the UCCS Composition Commissioning Competition, I decided to set my sights on Locomotion, a piece that would follow a train on a treacherous journey. This piece has been very fun to create, and I hope you enjoy!
