he Locust Furrow Mouldboard Plough is locally manufactured by Falcon Agricultural Equipment and offers a cost-effective method to turn over and pulverise the upper layer of the soil, bringing fresh nutrients to the surface while uprooting weeds and burying them along with crop residues and trash. This allows the plant matter to break down and also aerates the soil and allows it to hold moisture better. The implement is suitable for small-scale operations. The shape of the mouldboard plough allows it to cut down into the soil and invert it to the right side, completely burying any undesired growth, which is subsequently turned into manure after decomposition. The Locust Furrow Mouldboard Plough is of a popular design, with many parts common to ploughs already in the field.
