In this video I demonstrate a loft conversion example. Going through the initial process of going through the drawings and highlighting key structural elements and then showing the calculations that accompany the mark-up.
Being able to design a loft conversion is an important skill, small project experience has its uses along with large project experience. You'd be surprised how many engineers that only work on large projects have no idea how to design a loft conversion.
