Logic Pro 12: How to Create High Drones

As seen in a previous episode, drone layers can be powerful compositional sonic tools, bringing breadth to productions of many types. Last time I explored drone layers, I focused on low end drama and this week, we’re flipping frequency content on its head to produce a high-frequency atmosphere with its head in the clouds. Inspired by Thomas Newman, I’ve always loved textures like this which exist in the aether, somewhere between a pad and a reverb cloud.
