Loki || Lonely

As soon as I heard this song (link at the end of description), I knew I had to make another Loki video. It's too perfect, but oh so tragic. When it comes to Loki, the most tragic part about his character, I think, is that he tries so hard to be good enough and to be loved by his family, especially his father. And the only way he thinks he can get Odin's approval is if he becomes more like Thor instead of just being himself. (I wanted to showcase this with the deleted scene where Loki daydreams about wielding Mjolnir and being praised by the people of Asgard.) And that's why Loki is so relatable, in my opinion, because all he wants is to be loved and accepted for who he is. It's something that I think every person wants, so to follow his story and realize that he never really gets that love and confirmation is heartbreaking to me. I relate to Loki on so many levels and I love him more than I've loved any other character in my whole life. His death in Infinity War was a hard blow for me and I find it very difficult to watch, because in opposition to what some (or most) people say, Loki did not deserve to die. Not like that. I know he's coming back for the Loki series and, don't get me wrong, I'm very excited to see it, but it won't be the same. I think in order for Loki to complete his arc, he needs to realize that he is good enough just the way he is and I would love for him and Thor to reunite and reconcile with one another. In the same sense, I don't think Thor's arc was completed, because he never came to realize how he had wronged Loki and he never once told him that he loved him. But since Thor is not going to appear in the Loki series (at least that's what I assume), I don't think we will ever see that happen. All I hope is that Loki will find that he is worthy just the way he is. This ended up being a long rant, though I had not intended for it to be. I apologize for that. Once I get Endgame, I'm going to make another Loki video, which will be a character tribute focused on his full story using voice-overs over sentimental background music.
