The London Trams is a light rail like tram system operating in the Croydon area south of Central London. The line opened in 2000 and has 39 stops along 28 kilometers (17 miles) of track and is the only tram line that serves London. The rolling stock consists of 2 different tram types. One is the Bombardier CR4000 and the other is the Croydon Variobahn. Both come in a green, white and blue livery with tram roundels on the side. As the roundels suggest, the Tramlink is operated by the TFL and fares are integrated with the TFL fare zones. The majority of the line is grade separated and has good frequency. Trams are fast, clean and overall reliable. The only direct connection to the Underground is at Wimbledon but if you ever need to get around south London the trams is a great option.
