We started our hike at the Bulldog Canyon Gate off Usery Hwy in Mesa, AZ. The trails starts in the wash and then heads up the mountain with a increasing elevation. Very pretty scenery along the way. The hike is 2.4 miles out and back with an elevation gain of 750 feet. It's steep with loose gravel, so recommend hiking poles.
