Lonely...
Gone are the days of youth and splendour The days when you kissed me and squeezed But here in this old beating of heart of mine Is a deep love that still hungers and needs The best of you to take aim. So draw me like you used to, my dear. And let your love take you over, Then squeeze as hard as you can On that trigger. Cause honey, I'm a lonely sidearm. Out on the waves, me and Moby Dick We had a tea party late last night I bored him with the truth then he yawned And jumped back in And I sat up thinking of you 'til the early light. Yes, there's fishes, and dolphins, and sea birds, And such beautiful sunsets from the bow But deep inside i keep thinking there must be something better over yonder. Oh honey, I’m a lonely sailor. My horses name is yours, what else did you expect? And she carries me to where ever I want to go Me and my trusty stead we travel this lonely land In search of the meaning to it all Yes my boots they are sturdy and made from snakes And I smoke like a chimney to ease the pain Oh and I like whiskey but if i drink too much then i will breakdown and cry. Cause honey, I’mm a lonely cowboy I pick up the paint but the paint won't seem to stick And my brushes they are bristle-less these days My wrist it feels so stiff and the only things i want to paint Are spectacular murals of you I know that blue and red can make violet, And violet was your favourite colour But the paint on my easels been dried up since the day that you left. Oh honey, I’m a lonely painter Oh honey, I’m so lonely (x4)
