When coming up with a concept for an album, I often pull out a pad of paper and a pencil to freewrite. In this case, I immediately wrote in large, bold letters:

This message to myself was absolutely necessary as I tend to compose in a structured fashion. Instead, my goal here was to create clouds of sound to hold you, the listener, in stasis.
