Love and Expectations

“Love and Expectations” is a song about one of the deepest truths I’ve been learning: real love does not just accept us where we are — it also believes enough in us to call us higher. This song is about the sacred balance between grace and truth. Love without direction can leave people drifting, but expectations without compassion can create pressure, fear, and shame. The healing place is where both come together — where people feel safe, seen, protected, and still challenged to become everything God placed inside them. It’s a song for parents, children, spouses, leaders, friends, and anyone trying to love people better. True love does not control, condemn, or abandon. True love says, “You are worthy,” and also, “You were made for more.” At its heart, “Love and Expectations” is about healing humanity through love and truth together. That’s where growth happens. That’s where freedom begins. That’s where healing lives.
