This is Dadirri, a song from my new record REFUGE.
Dadirri was inspired by the work of the Miriam Rose foundation in the Northern Territories in Australia.
The word Dadirri translates from her Aboriginal tongue as ‘Deep Listening’, in English.
I dedicate this to Miriam Rose and the great people who work with her. In creating this video for the song, I chose 2 sacred and wonderful places in County Clare; Mullaghmore, and Bishop’s Quarter Beach.
I asked Matthew Kelly and Jonathan Clancy to film me just sitting there. Thank you so much to them both for the lovely job they did.
The song is a call to listen. And a celebration of stillness."
