'Luke Kelly's Land'
I remember I used to play in the Strand Bar in Cahore Co. Wexford over the summer months back in the 90's with Noel Finnegan, Michael Redmond, Jimmy Crofton (R. I. P) and sometimes Paul O'Reilly (Dublin Dicey). Now nothing to be proud of but lots of drinks were taken back then. Sure we thought we were the Dubliners, and the place was jammers. Lots of Dublin people stayed in the caravan parks etc around there and we got to know quite a few of them. One man handed me a demo tape of his son's band Brazen with this song on it. It was far better than the recording here and if I'm correct I think Pete St. John (R. I. P) had wrote the song for them. It was only more than 30 years later during lockdown that I sang it during a live recording.
