In this video, I demonstrate the technique of lumber plexus block using the PNS with clear and relatively easy landmarks.
Lumbar plexus block is an advanced regional anesthetic technique in which local anesthetic is injected into a fascial plane within the substance of the psoas muscle aiming to block the branches of the lumbar plexus, so it is also called Psoas compartment block.
It is specifically indicated for anesthesia / analgesia for surgeries involving the anterior thigh ,when combined with a proximal sciatic nerve block, anesthesia of a whole one lower limb can be achieved.
