Persistent denial of oneself We are jaded by our own eyes We are at war with ourselves With every day that comes, is another day I suffer Built up with fear, in total disgrace A look of deceit is worn across my face We lie through our teeth, though the life that we live is temporary There is no true feeling left to manifest Will the truth in our hearts escape it's shackles? Or will we live in fear of a dream we have designed? Are we to fight ourselves until we die? Are we to destroy all fragments of ourselves until we die?
