M5Stack UIFlow and Qubitro IoT Platform: Getting Started. Following Arduino Week 2022, with my own submission for the Arduino Cloud Games contest, I want to turn my attention to something new. This time I will be working with M5Stack and Qubitro. I like Qubitros motto: "IoT projects are complex. We make them simple." Let's see what we can make of this. My idea is to try to recreate my Arduino Cloud Games project using M5Stack and Qubitro. This time I plan to transmit the data from the rocket using LoRa via the LoRa 868 module on the M5Stack Core IoT unit. Make sure to check out my videos where I have worked with the LoRa 868 module before. I also go into complete detail on working with the M5Stack Core IoT unit in UIFlow. So, I won't be going into too much detail about these in this video. I want to focus more on working with Qubitro in this video. I have registered my account in the Qubitro portal and now I am presented with the opportunity to create my first project. I am using the Starter plan, which is free. You are limited to one project with up to two devices and one dashboard. This will be fine for most first time use cases. So I invite you to check it out. Let's go into the Qubitro portal and configure our Project. We will add our M5Stack Core IoT device to get the MQTT credentials. Copy the user and client IDs back into UIFlow. This same key is used as the Topic on the UIFlow MQTT publish block. In UIFlow we see how to use MQTT, JSON and Map blocks to send the MQTT payload to Qubitro. Once we have this running on the M5Stack Core IoT unit, we have data received in the Qubitro portal. Now we can Analyze that Data using a Chart. And we can build a Dashboard with several Widgets to choose from to present the data in a visually informative format. Stay tuned as I will be exploring the LoRa868 modules in this scenario next!
