HARTING developed the first M8 connector with D-coding for the reliable transmission of Ethernet. This connector offers 30% space savings compared to an M12 D-Code. The connector offers Fast Ethernet and Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) via an individual miniaturized interface resulting in big space savings for the end device.
The M8 D-Code is IP65/IP67 protected when mated making it suitable for harsh environments. In addition, standardization makes it a safe investment, as it can be combined with the connectors and sockets of various manufacturers. This means that all users can benefit from a smaller but reliable interface for miniaturization.
