Mac How-To: Setup System Folder Notifications

There are a ton of folders on your Mac, and that's only talking about the ones that aren't hidden. And in order for you computer to keep running smoothly, you need to keep track of them and make sure applications aren't installing files onto your computer that you don't want, inadvertently slowing it down. Mac OS includes a helpful tool called Apple Script Editor, which has some preset scripts that are easy to use and apply to help manage your folders. I identify what I consider the most important folders to manage on your computer and how to setup these notifications so that you know when something is being added there.
