Materials: 5mm cotton rope, scissors Directions: 1. Cut one piece of rope to about 43 inches or 109 centimeters. Secure the rope to two points on a horizontal line. 2. Cut 14 pieces of rope to about 11 feet or 3.3 meters. Attach the strings to your first string using a larks head knot. 3. Create 19 rows of alternating square knots. 4. Create a descending triangle by leaving out two strings in each row. 5. Fold the triangle behind and over to create the shape of the clutch. Create a row of diagonal double clove hitch knots on each side of the triangle. Connect the knots in the center. 6. Trim the fringe to about one inch. 7. Remove your horizontal string from your work area and undo the double knots. 8. Fold your project into the shape of your clutch. Use the two strings on the sides to sew up the sides. Knot the ends of the rope inside the purse and trim the excess. 9. Optional: Add a chain strap, a macrame wristlet, or a macrame strap. 10.
