Macrame Storage Box Part 2 | Tutorial step by step | DIY
Hi everyone! 😀 I'm so happy to have created my macrame storage box, which so many of you have been asking for! Here it is – finally made! You can find my step-by-step tutorial video here. I hope many of you will love it and enjoy making it! 🥰 Cords available: shop.bobbiny.com Prym Glue: https://www.prym.com/en/textil-adhesive-9 Hinge: https://shorturl.at/M8lLh Clothing Stand: https://shorturl.at/YZKao You’ll need to build the wooden frame of the box yourself. Here are the measurements: 30 cm (11.81”) long, 20 cm (7.87”) wide, and 15 cm (5.90”) high. The frame is approximately 1.2 cm (0.47”) thick The bottom of the box is made from a thin piece of plywood. You’ll need about 152 m (5984.25") of cord for the box itself, and around 35 m (1377.95") for the lid. In total, you’ll need approx. 187 m (7362.2") of cord (3mm thick) Chapters: 00:00 - Gluing the Cords to the Frame 25:07 - Attaching the Bottom of the Box 30:38 - Creating the Lid of the Box 2:03:05 - Creating the Hook 2:09:46 - Creating the Flower • Materials needed: Wooden frame, the top and bottom of the box 3mm braided cotton cord Scissors Tape measure Fabric glue Hot glue gun Large needle Screwdriver, 8 small screws and two hinges (2.5cm / 1”) • Lark's Head Knots: Hold the folded cords and place the loop behind the rod or dowel where you want to attach them. Take the loose ends of the cords (the ones that are not in the loop) and pass them from the front to the back of the rod, pulling them through the loop. Pull the ends tightly to secure the cords to the rod. The loop at the top should now sit snugly on the rod, and the two loose ends should hang down. • Square knots: 1.Start with four cords. 2. Bring the left cord over and to the right of the two anchor cords. 3. Place the right cord over the left cord. 4. Bring the right cord under the anchors and through the loop formed by the left cord. 5. Pull and you have the first half of the Square Knot. 6. Bring the right cord over and to the left of the two anchor cords and place the left cord over it. 7. Bring the left cord under the anchors and through the loop formed by the right cord. 8. Pull the cords and you have the finished Square Knot. • Double half hitch knots: 1.Choose a static cord to tie the Hitches around. Hold the static cord at the desired angle of the “line” you wish your knots to form when finished. 2.Using the next available hanging cord tie a Half Hitch around the static cord twice. 3.Pull to tighten the knots and move them to the desired position whilst still holding your static cord at the desired angle • Berry knot: The Berry knot is created by making 3-4 Square Knots underneath each other. You then pull the 2 middle cords through the small opening you left above the first Square Knot to create a berry-shaped knot. #hangamacrame #macramelove #art #fiberart #handmade #foryou #bohemian #giftideas #homedecor #artoftheday #support #supportsmallbusiness #for #foryourpage #autumn #fall #leaves #autumnleaves #bohostyle #fiber #fiberart #macrame #macrametreeoflife #macramewallhanging #macramé #arboldelavidamacrame #makramee #treeoflifemacrame #macrametutorial #arbredeviemacramé #MAKPAME #macrametreeoflifetutorial #macrameshelf #makrama #macramewallhangingtutorial #macramedesign #minimacramewallhanging #macramewallhangingnewdesign
