Hi, for the first game I strongly recommend playing a mono-colored creature deck with simple gimmicks like: white (flying/life-link), green (big creature deck/+1+1counter) or red (fast creature with burn). I would not recommend any graveyard stuff or control deck. Sometimes local game store give to the local game store gives basic/introduction deck. Or just pick up a game night; those are perfect to introduce the game. Also, explaining the objective of the deck before the game helps a lot with orienting the player during his first game.
