This is a demonstration talking about the magnetic fields that are taking place inside a magnetic amplifier and being able to use magnetic field control to show the lack of magnetic fields within the iron core.
Controlling the magnetic fields in the core allows the magnetic fields in the coils themselves to still be there but no longer interact with the iron core.
It shows the presence of the magnetic field lines, but without any magnetic affects to any iron material that the field lines interact with.
