Magnetic declination and polar alignment

An update on my previous tip on using a compass to help with polar alignment. You can still use a compass with a rotating bezel to compensate for this, or if you're using an iPhone there's a setting to check to make sure you are pointing true north. google maps can be corrected also: https://googlecompass.com/MagneticVariationAdjustment.htm
