This video shows you how to make a point cloud of a brain from an MRI using free software. Methods are mostly the same as my previous video showing how to make a skull point cloud from a CT scan (https://youtu.be/00JkLcklOpc) except I use an automated "brain extraction" tool in 3D Slicer so you don't have to know how to segment the brain! You may need to install the HD Brain Extract extension in 3D Slicer if it's not already installed. You may use your own MRI or use the sample dataset in 3D Slicer.
