I've started putting stamps on my bars of soap. I've settled on using homemade stamps that I make from skeleton keys. I like the way they work and it's nice to know that my stamps are unique.
I owe a big tip of the hat to Youtube member "bubbleandsoap" who was my inspiration for this project. The big difference that I'm bringing to the craft is the impression of an object rather than a carved image. I imagine you could be quite creative about the selection of objects to use. Perhaps try using a ring or a small figurine... I also use a curved foundation in which to make the impression, and add a handle.
to stamp the soap, I fold a paper towel into a sort of stamp pad and douse it in Graves grain alcohol, though I'm sure isopropyl would work as well. I press the stamp in the alcohol and then into the bar of soap. They work surprisingly well.
