I made a foldable indoor climber with a Shaper Origin CNC router. It's adapted from a commercial style I saw online. Materials were Birch Plywood and 1" Birch stair treads that I ripped and turned on the lathe to make strong dowels. The wooden 'gears' that enable locking the four sections in multiple configurations were cut from solid Alder.
