Making a Rug Hooking Frame

I'm not going to try to explain to you what rug hooking is because I'll probably just feed you a whole ton of random false info. She commissioned me to make her a frame and she bought some of these weird strips of rubber and canvas with a lot of little nails to hold down a piece of fabric and keep it taut. I made the frame out of Black Walnut wood, used half lap joinery for the frame, and finished with Danish Oil.
