G'day everyone. I'll be making a quick, but very useful depth gauge base attachment for my dial caliper. Measuring the depth of holes is arguably the weakest feature of what a caliper can do as the base is small and tents to walk around, giving you varying measurements. With this easy modification, we will be able to make a larger base and use the caliper to make much more accurate depth measurements. The one I made in the video will be made from aluminum, however I will be sure to remake it in the future from a harder steel. Cheers.
