My Aunt tasked me with producing some mahjong racks so this video is covering the building of those. They were made with the body of pine with an interesting wood called nibong. Racks were a pine 2x4 milled down to ~8.5cm x 4cm Split at 6.6cm then cut at a 40 degree angle at 7.6cm The opposite side was then turned over and cut at 40 degrees to line up to make a 90 degree angle with the other piece then sanded and glued back together. The nibong was then cut to length and size and then glued to the front and back to complete the rack and finished with BLO and varnish.
