My Great Grandpa made and sold maple syrup on his farm to help provide for his family. The Palm Sunday Tornado came through in 1965 and destroyed most of the maple trees on his operation. The damage was severe enough to stop his maple syrup business. As a family, we have tried to continue to make maple syrup to pass the knowledge to the next generation.
