This video is to show you how I made some parallels to help me with a couple of mundane tasks.
One of the tasks is to use the sturdy parallels to support wide work pieces on the milling machine, the other task is to assist me in tramming the milling machine head true.
Tramming the head true using a dial test indicator(DTI) is difficult while on a fully extended arm, especially when the dial test indicator has to cross many ’T’slots to make the equal and opposite comparison.
A pair of substantial parallels reduces the interference caused by the ’T’slots and provides nod information as well as tramming information.
In my videos, I show you what I went through while making items, I never tell any one how to do things, because no two people have the same equipment, materials or time.
