Mealie Meal roti incorporates textured maize meal into the roti dough to give a firmer roti that also has additional texture. This roti is great with many curries, most especially fish curry. More old school, this roti is eaten less often than plain-flour roti.
Ingredients
1 cup mealie meal
2 cups water to boil the mielie meal
2 tablespoon margarine
1 tsp fine salt
For doughing
1 1/2 cup flour
1 cup water
1 tbs oil - NB this was omitted in error from the video.
