Making Sand Cores

The finished piece needs to have a square hole through it, so I drilled and filed this hole. It took a long time to make, so I wanted to see if I could cast these parts with the square hole already in them. I followed another YouTube videos instructions as to how to make the sand cores, including the use of a vinegar and baking soda CO2 generator to cure the cores.
