We can become so full of possessions, busyness, work, relationships, hobbies, and experiences that there is no room left for God. Jesus’ parable in Luke 14 warns that the invitation to God’s banquet is real, but many reject it because they are already “full” of lesser things. The call is not just, “God, fill me,” but first, “God, empty me of whatever is crowding You out.”
