Mamiya 645 Pro First Time Outing
I was gifted this lovely camera, by my wife’s uncle, in Japan, while visiting him last year. He was (and still is) an amateur photographer. It was he who originally got me to take photography more seriously, by gifting me his grandfather's C330 (who was actually, a professional, studio photographer back in the day). I her uncle a lot! I have almost no experience with this format… However, one of my Holga’s is 645. The camera came with 7 lenses…yes, 7! …and three magazines, one of which is for 35mm film. He purchased this camera new when it was first released, but let it sit idle for the last several years (he got more into digital with his advancing years). Even though it sat, it was stored well. All the lenses looked mint, with no mold whatsoever. (If anyone has been to Japan…I lived there for 12 years… it’s a constant battle with the heat and humidity…perfect environment for mold!). Upon returning to Canada, I purchased a battery for the body (4LR44), and six AA’s for the grip (I should have bought them in Japan, as they are heaps cheaper!). That’s a lot of battery! Something that I am not used to. The only time I need a battery is for my light metre! Anyways, I put the batteries in and out the door I went! I didn’t even bother to see if it worked (I did turn it on and got a little red LED showing it had power), or even to practice loading film, or how the meter worked… Pretty crazy, right? Well, come along and find out how it went! #mamiya645pro #mediumformat 0:00 Intro 2:17 Film Loading 5:44 Taking The First Photo 9:15 Understanding The Meter 11:11 Summary In The Field 12:30 Checking Out The Developed Film (Delta 400) Join this channel to get access to perks: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCmVjN3xWkiHqYdLDy4tPofw/join
